Family

Joel (Ladue 1972) and I have been married for  21 years.  Our sons, Drew, a sophomore at LMU and J.J. a sophomore at Campbell Hall are the centers of our lives. Joel is the Lakers play-by-play announcer as well as the announcer for Sunday night football on CBS Radio and the Big 12 Football on Fox.  Drew is majoring in communications and hopes to follow in Joel’s footsteps.  J.J. has his hopes set on playing college basketball and becoming a sports attorney.

It’s strange how for so many years you see the same faces, hear the same sounds and think that nothing will ever change.  Then one day, thirty years later you’re reading bios of those same people and wondering where the time went.

I have so many memories of friends and times. From all of them, my favorites include Grant and his kindness and  laughter, listening to James Taylor with Meg, many New Years Eves that included Lois, living in Davis Place, my orange Vega (that somehow ended up on a sidewalk at school?) and living for the moment.

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

Graduated from Washington University in 1978, wrote and produced commercials for agencies in St. Louis and Los Angeles, married Joel in 1982.  We moved to San Francisco in 1983 where Joel was to announce Stanford football and basketball.  Just before the season, he was asked to move to Los Angeles to announce UCLA football and basketball.  In between S.F. and L.A., our first son, Drew was born.  Ten days later we were in L.A.  I continued writing commercials in L.A. until Drew was 3.  In 1988,our second son, JJ, was born. Raising two sons with a husband on the road has been my primary job.  In our 21 years of marriage I have attended more football, basketball, and baseball games then I did with my dad growing up (who I still enjoy going to games with and/or talking on the phone with about games!). 

Thank you Andy for all your hard work.  Looking back on my time at CHS definitely makes me smile.
