CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget…, etc.)

The Good:

·        Knowing everybody in my class – and most people at CHS

·        Having good buddies, especially Abell, Bell, Cassell, Cohen, Deex, Eidelman, Fishel, Hartz, Hufford, Monaghan, Platt, Shifter, Shornick, Siegel and Slavin

·        Getting a great education – Civics with Armstrong, History with Morrison, English with Smith, Health with Keskiner

·        Growing up in an affluent and safe pedestrian-friendly community – Brentmoor Park, Wydown Blvd., Glenridge ES, Wydown MS, Shaw Park, Forest Park, etc.

·        Going to a cool school – Depo, the Fall Carnival, the quadrangle and Hello Dolly

·        Playing 5 different sports – football, basketball, baseball, water polo and track

·        Hanging out in Davis Place (before getting my ’64 Mercury Comet)

·        Partying in the summer of ‘72

·        Dating girls from the class of ‘75

The Bad:

·        Fracturing my foot in Freshman football the first week of High School

·        Dawson Pikey and the cruel and unusual punishment of “River Game”

·        The Brentwood basketball brawl where Larry and I got the crap beat out of us

·        Hopping my first/only train at Lessers – the first/only time the police stopped it!

·        Getting sick on Prom night – sorry Donna, thanks Mike (cats roll in jello?)

The Ugly:

·        Quitting basketball and baseball – what the hell was I thinking?

·        Being a yell leader – what the hell was I thinking?

·        Being a powder puff cheerleader – what the hell was I thinking?

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

I’m proud to say that I have been married to Cindy for 23 years and we have two happy and healthy teenage daughters in high school – Lauren (16) a Junior and Brittany (14) a Freshman.  We are fortunate to have a great house in a great neighborhood with great public schools.  I can honestly say that I love my job with the Atlanta Regional Commission and I love my career in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) – think of it as geographic database management and digital mapping for regional planning.  I had a very cool educational experience last year attending the Landmark Forum seminars where I learned a lot about personal and professional development.  When I’m not working or being a dad, I like to play in the yard (my creative outlet), run 10Ks and play tennis.  One miscellaneous “accomplishment” to note: I’ve written a Holiday letter every year now since 1992 trying to stay in touch with family and friends.  I’m really looking forward to getting back in touch with all of my CHS classmates in June.  Thank you Andy and Committee for taking on the production of what should be a wonderful 30th year high school reunion!
