CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget… etc.)

I have to begin by saying what a great academic education we received at CHS; too bad I didn’t appreciate it at the time!

Memories?

The Alternative School: getting stoned with the principal, Ann Hush’s classes, the camping trip to my parents’ property on the Gasconade River, living the 70’s experience and understanding that there’s more to life than meets the eye.

Jewish holidays when 80% of the class body was absent!

Horseback rides with Shelley; crashing Ladue debutant parties; falling in love for the first time…

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

Attended Northern Arizona University – received degree in ’78 in Recreational Leadership. Worked for the Flagstaff Parks & Rec Dept. eventually becoming the Recreation Supt. for the City; married Mark/started our family; received masters in public admin in ’89; held various positions at NAU; earned marketing research certificate from University of GA in ’03  –still work at NAU as a marketing analyst.

I love to hike the Grand Canyon, mountain bike and cross-county ski. I have a wonderful family, love where I live (Flagstaff) and am content with my life. But…can anyone else relate to being a member of the sandwich generation? (Parents and children to care for)

I’m really looking forward to seeing the ‘old Davis Place gang, especially Cindy and Carol. I’ve lost touch with both of you and wish I hadn’t. I hope Katie Christman convinces Ann Bakewell to attend – and Mary Webb, you’d better show up!

Andy, thank you for this great web site. It’s been so fun to see what everyone is up to and thanks for putting me back in touch with Jim Bohn, Cindy, etc. We had a great childhood, didn’t we?

And did everyone know that the Igorots are now the Wildcats? I guess it was politically incorrect to have your mascot named after a tribe of cannibals!

I look forward to seeing everyone – we should all go swimming at Shaw Park on Saturday with our families?
