Family

My wife Laura (different Laura than the one I was dating in 1974 – that Laura was going to University HS, that’s the senior prom I went to), no kids, three dogs, one cat.

CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget…, etc.)

Organ Grinders, Arnold parties, Shop class including automech and flightshool.

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

Almost made a career as an auto mechanic, but decided to get a  Mechanical Engineering degree and make cars a hobby instead. Worked Civil Service for three years, couldn’t stand the attitude. Worked 6  years in aerospace, but just when it was winding down, Desert Storm happened and my Marine Corps Reserve unit was activated. Upon my return, no more aerospace job! Switched to working in the environmental field, mostly computer modeling of emissions and doing health risk analyses, EIRs and other fun stuff.

Gotten pretty good at digital photography and working with and on  computers (another side career is in computer support). Basically your typical nerd (yes, I love Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc). Another hobby I have is scuba; in fact both my wife and I are scuba instructors. Anyone want to get certified? I have built several kit  cars, hot-rodded a bunch of others, ridden motorcycles since shortly after high school, own a '65 Barracuda, a '64 Falcon and an '89 Goldwing at the moment.

Decided after  20 or so years of “working toward retirement” that I  had my priorities screwed up. Have been traveling as much as possible since, been to Europe three times, Central American dozens, Japan once. Went to Fiji in May. A lot of the trips were scuba oriented, others just to go. My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on a two-week Italy trip/cruise on the Mediterranean (with one dive thrown in for fun).

The photo above is taken of me relaxing poolside at my Mom’s resort in  Nicaragua. It has been a labor of love for her and after almost ten years is finally open. I can get any of you a great deal at a  first-class resort!

I really enjoyed the 20th reunion and look forward to seeing everyone for this one. I encourage more of you to do these profiles. I read all the ones posted so far, really enjoyed what everyone had to say, and revised mine to tell more as a result.
