Family

Cathy and I have been together for 8 years.  We met on a bicycle tour across Oregon, and we’ve been having wonderful adventures together ever since!  I truly feel like I’ve found my soul mate.  Cathy is a pathologist here in Portland, and I manage advanced technology projects at Intel.

We both tend to work too hard, but we love to have sunny getaways whenever possible.  We love skiing, biking, scuba diving, hiking, and camping.

I have two great kids, Jordyn (17) and Justin (13).  Both are very musical – Jordyn plans to major in music (she’s into jazz) at U of O.  Justin reminds me of me when I was a boy in some ways, except he’s much cooler!  The kids love hearing stories about what a strange guy I was when I was I high school …

CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget…, etc.)

Wow, all these memories of you guys are flooding back as the reunion gets closer!  Of course Gene, Blain, Ray, Bob, Meg, Sandy, Riv, and all the others I shared a lot of classes with.  And then all the theater buddies (I’ll never forget the “Madam President” talent show.)  Great teachers, too:  Heimberger, Quiring, and Deall, just to name a few.  Great memories?  How about the girls I was so crushed out on, the drag racing (don’t tell my kids),  and  breaking into the Natatorium at night.  Things to forget?  How about early experiments with cheap wine, feeling so awkward all the time, and getting busted by the Clayton cops when we tried to put 20 tires around the school flagpole.  Great songs?  “Spirit in the Sky”, “Bye Bye Miss American Pie”, “Rocky Mountain Way”, “Jump Into the Fire”, “Roundabout”, “Piano Man”, and a thousand more…

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

I’ve spent my whole career in high tech, the last 10 at Intel.  I feel a funny combination of finally being grown up, yet still being a kid inside!  (My Dad died a few years ago at the age of 84, and when he was 83 he told me he still felt like he was a 20 year old trapped in some old stranger’s body!)  In short, I’d have to say that I’m happier and more settled now than at any point in my life.  I sincerely look forward to seeing all of you after all these years, and sharing our stories of “what a long strange trip it’s been”!
