CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget…, etc.)

Good memories – I think we had it better than we realized at the time.  Living in an exceptional place, during a time when everything was changing and attending a great public school.  Concerts at Kiel Auditorium, the freedom of driving off campus for lunch, Shaw park, trying to figure out what it all meant with friends like Shifrin and Platt.

Teachers who cared about their students and were excited about what they taught – like Quiring, Sachs, Englesman. Baker and Morrison trading barbs with Adzick.

After High School (Career, Accomplishments, Favorite Activities, Message to classmates…, etc.)

I left Missouri just after high school and a few years later my family moved away as well.  I have only been back a couple of times and regretfully have not kept in touch with anyone.

After getting a Masters in Accounting, I went to work for Arthur Andersen (consulting) in Salt Lake City.  Had the chance to travel around the country and see how a lot of organizations work.  I stayed with them until 1986 when I started a software company – Assist Cornerstone Technologies.  It was a relatively wild ride through the 90s- grew the company to about 150 people and sold it in 1999.  I decided that it was time to slow down, so I took a couple of years off and then in 2002 I purchased a retail garden center.  (Therapeutic if not tremendously profitable.)

Married in 1994 to Karin who I met while working in Munich, Germany.  We have two children who take up most of our time and energy and we wouldn’t have it any other way.  We enjoy living at the base of the Rocky Mountains and spend our winters skiing and our summers biking and hiking.  We love to travel, mostly back to Europe, and enjoy our status as radicals (moderate liberals) in the most conservative state in the country.
