CHS Memories (Friends, Funniest story, Teachers, Events, Activities, Sports, Songs, Would like to forget…, etc.)
|
One odd thing I remember is going to Schnuck’s for lunch on Ladue Road with Billy Arndt and Russ Rosenberg for lunch and buying a pack of lunch meat and bread in the grocery store, then taking it into the coffee shop, buying just a Coke and making the sandwich ourselves at the table…and leaving a very small tip for the waitress. Other memories include steak parties at Glik’s (but you had to bring your own steak), Bob Michelson’s pool, party grill at Moog’s, Steak n Shake.

I went to Mizzou for two years, and then graduated from Indiana. Later, I went back and got my MBA from Northwestern University. My first job was in Indianapolis, as Assistant Director for United States Swimming, which is the governing body for competitive swimming in the US. After 2 years, I realized I didn’t like living in Indianapolis and had no job skills, so I moved to Chicago to work for The Levy Organization, which is an entrepreneurial real estate and restaurant company started by two brothers from St. Louis. I then moved into commercial real estate, and have stayed in it for about 20 years. About seven years ago, I started a real estate company which primarily leases retail space within downtown Chicago office buildings and represents retailers seeking to expand within the Chicago area. Our clients are mostly REIT’s and national retailers like Gap, Inc. and Ann Taylor. We have five people in the company and will probably stay about that size.
