Family

Married Jim Richiert in 1985 (18 years). We have two daughters, Whitney 16 (Cheerleader, Soccer team) and Kristin 12 (Soccer team). We live in Harrison, Arkansas. My husband is an avid golfer, so we live on the golf course (our back yard is hole #17).  It is interesting to see people in your yard all day!  We also have a black lab (Polly), a cat (Tiger), and a rabbit (Hershey).  Although you never know when this will change; they were all strays.

After High School I went on to college.  I started out at Meramec Junior College in St. Louis, and then transferred to Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology and went on to get a M.S. in Microbiology.  While in Springfield I met my future husband Jim.  We married and moved to Harrison, AR where my husband owns a CASE dealership.  I began my career at North Arkansas College as a Biology/Microbiology instructor for about four years.  In 1990, I became an Administrator at North Arkansas College.  I now write grants and manage four different grant funded programs that encourage low-income, first generation college hopefuls in the 6^th-12^th grades and adults to attend college to better their futures.  We live in a very rural and impoverished area    Although, I didn’t make it to the 20^th class reunion I think the 30^th could be interesting.  I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.
